About Refined_Movement

We open early 2026 in Soest. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to hear when we open our doors. Pre-opening packages are already available!

We combine architectural beauty with technical excellence. Our studio is designed as an experience, not just a workout. Think elegant arches, natural materials, and warm atmosphere. Plus: our instructors are top-certified and our classes are accessible to all levels.

Elizabeth Kerrebijn is an Amsterdam-based yoga instructor and reformer Pilates enthusiast. After years of training in various studios, she decided to realize her own vision: a place where everyone feels welcome to grow in strength and awareness.

Reformer Pilates is a workout on a special machine (the 'reformer') with springs, straps, and a sliding platform. It combines strength, flexibility, and control in a low-impact workout. Perfect for beginners and experienced athletes — the reformer adapts to your level.

Classes & Schedules

Absolutely! All our classes are suitable for beginners. We start with basics and build slowly. The Flow and 50+ Refined are extra beginner-friendly, but The Reformer (our signature class) is also perfect for first-timers. Your instructor watches your form and provides modifications.

The Reformer: Our most popular full-body workout. Start here! • The Flow: Slower pace, focus on mindfulness and stretching • 50+ Refined: Special for 50+ (but all ages welcome) • Reform Mama: For pregnant and postnatal moms • Reformer Yin: Deep stretches and relaxation. Not sure? Book The Reformer — suits 90% of our members.

All classes are 50 minutes. Plan 10 extra minutes for changing and welcome/wrap-up.

Maximum 12 people per class (we have 12 reformer beds). Small groups = personal attention. Reform Mama has max 6 participants.

Monday - Saturday: 09:00 - 19:00. Last class starts at 18:00. Sunday: Closed. Check our current schedule after login for exact class times.

Yes, all classes require booking. Book via our website or app. We recommend booking at least 12 hours in advance (popular times fill up quickly).

Yes, up to 12 hours before class without charge. Within 12 hours, the class is deducted from your package. Repeated no-shows without cancellation may result in membership suspension.

Practical

Required: Grip socks (buy at studio: €15, or bring your own) + Comfortable workout clothes (no zippers/buttons on back). Optional: Water bottle (refill station available) + Own towel (we have towels) + Hair tie (for long hair). Don't bring: Shoes (we train in socks), jewelry (not recommended)

Grip socks are mandatory. This is for hygiene and safety (prevent slipping). Regular socks are not allowed. Grip socks available at our studio for €15.

Yes, we have spacious changing rooms with lockers (bring own lock or buy once at studio). Showers available with free shampoo/body wash. Towels provided (or bring your own).

Yes, free parking on our own parking lot next to the studio. Also easily accessible by bike (covered bike storage).

First time: 10 minutes before class (welcome, intake, reformer explanation). Regular: 5 minutes before class. Late? More than 5 minutes late means we unfortunately cannot admit you (safety and group reasons).

Health & Safety

Probably yes, but check with your doctor/physiotherapist first. Reformer Pilates is low-impact and joint-friendly. Always inform your instructor before class — we modify exercises as needed. Definitely consult doctor first for: Recent surgeries (<6 weeks) • Severe back problems • Pregnancy (choose Reform Mama)

You control the intensity! The reformer uses springs you can set heavier or lighter. Beginners start light, advanced go heavier. You'll feel your muscles, but it's not cardio/HIIT. It's challenging but controlled.

Choose Reform Mama — our special pregnancy & postnatal class. Other classes are not suitable during pregnancy (specific exercises may have risks). Reform Mama is safe from week 12 until delivery. Always check with your midwife/gynecologist first.

We take hygiene very seriously: Reformer beds cleaned after each class • Towels and materials washed daily • Regular deep cleaning of studio • Hand gel available • Grip socks mandatory (hygiene) • If sick: stay home, cancel without charge
