We're working hard behind the scenes! Due to the long delivery time of our reformers and a major renovation, we expect to open our Refined Movement – Pilates Shop & Experience in Soest in February/March 2026.

Good news: One-on-one private sessions start earlier — you can already join with an intro package of 3 private lessons for €59 per session.

Absolutely! Our sessions are suitable for all levels — even if you're completely new. We guide you step by step and you can even start with an intro package of 3 private lessons for €59 per session, so you can get comfortable at your own pace before our Shop & Experience officially opens.

Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a water bottle. Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene — you can easily purchase them in our Shop & Experience, and they're included with the pre-opening deal.

We also ask you to remove jewelry and hair clips to prevent damage to the reformers and allow you to move safely and freely.

Our pre-opening offers remain valid until the official opening of Refined Movement – Pilates Shop & Experience.

• Try-Out: The try-out class cards are valid for one year, starting from your first class.
• Class cards: All regular class cards are valid for one year, starting from your first booked class.
• Private lessons: The 3 private lessons from the special opening deal must be scheduled and used within 2 weeks of your first session. You can start these before the official opening. Email hello@refinedmovement.com to schedule.

On the Reformer Experience Schedule, we indicate after each teacher's name whether the experience is conducted in NL, ENG, or NL/ENG. In the latter case, the experience will be guided in English as soon as someone is present who doesn't speak Dutch.

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic form of Pilates that uses special equipment, the reformer, to provide resistance and make the exercise more effective. This training helps you build strength, flexibility, and balance, while also improving your focus and posture. It's a great way to promote both your physical and mental well-being.

No two experiences are the same. Each session is a full-body Reformer experience, sometimes supplemented with Pilates accessories for extra variety. We work in layers: we start with a basic movement that's accessible to everyone and expand it step by step with options for more depth. This keeps every experience refined, effective, and accessible, for both beginners and advanced practitioners.

We also offer Yin Sensory, a slow, deep experience that takes place entirely on the reformer. This session focuses on release, mobility, and calming the nervous system — a moment of softness, awareness, and recovery. Yin Sensory can be used as a valuable complement alongside our other experiences.

Pregnant women are very welcome in our Yin Sensory experiences and in the specially offered pre- and postnatal experiences (even with baby). A separate pass card will be available for these pre- and postnatal experiences.

During pregnancy, many reformer exercises are not safe or suitable, and therefore pregnant women cannot participate in regular experiences. In our pre- and postnatal experiences, all movements are specially adapted to each phase of pregnancy, so you can continue to move safely and responsibly.

No, we only work with certified Reformer Pilates instructors. Quality and safety are our top priorities.

Yes, we sell reformers to both private individuals and Pilates studios. In our shop, we offer models from Alina Pilates and Body Balance, among others.

We're opening our Pilates Shop as soon as the renovation is completed. We're currently in talks with several beautiful leisure and athleisure brands to determine which label we'll exclusively carry.

You'll also find a selection of Pilates accessories and of course our own line of grip socks. You can also come to us for ordering reformers for home and reformers for your own studio, including personal advice on the different models.

The effect of Reformer Pilates on your weight depends on several factors: your diet, your overall activity level, and your personal goals. Reformer Pilates does help you create a tight, lean silhouette by building long, lean muscles, improving your posture, and strengthening your core. Many people don't see a big change on the scale, but do feel fitter, stronger, and more confident.

Many people do indeed become 'addicted' to Reformer Pilates! That's because it's both physically challenging and mentally relaxing. You notice results quickly — better posture, more strength, and a more supple body — and that gives satisfaction. Moreover, the variety in exercises and intensity ensures it never gets boring. Honestly? We warn you in advance: you might just get hooked ;-)

In many cases yes, provided your doctor indicates that you can safely continue to move. Let us know beforehand what injury or discomfort you have, so we can tailor the experience to this and you can continue to move within your limits.

Do you need more personal guidance? Then our Private Reformer Experience is ideal. For people with injuries, discomforts, or need for extra attention, we're temporarily offering a set of 3 one-on-one sessions for €59 per session.

These private sessions can be scheduled even before the official opening.

The schedule goes live as soon as we have more clarity about the exact delivery of the reformers. We'll soon offer a wide range of Reformer Experiences 7 days a week, given by various teachers in both Dutch and English.
